FULL PAGE: OCTOBER 7 – NZ Herald 7.10.25

October 7 website

We wanted to convey respect to those who suffered on October 7, 2023. We felt the best way to achieve that was with few words and a good image. For the Protection of Zion Trust partnered with Christians for Israel NZ and placed the following full page in the NZ Herald on 7 October 2025. Sadly Stuff’s Wellington paper The Post after having agreed to print pulled the plug on 6 October. Below is also our email to the Stuff team.

STUFF’s appalling refusal to publish

Following is the email I sent the STUFF Team after they refused to publish it. The advocacy advert had been booked months in advance and they came back and said because another advocacy ad had been placed over the last two weeks they were not going to run this one. I had nothing to do with their other advocacy ad nor do I know what it said and I find their excuse unconvincing as they knew my advocacy ad for Israel was booked way in advance.

To the Stuff Team,

I am appalled that you published the following adverts for John Minto this year and yet you have closed the door on me:

My Ad for Oct 7:

I think your decision whatever the reason is disgraceful and shows your deep bias against the Jewish people and their only state. Stuff has received tens of thousands of dollars from my trust over recent years and I was advised earlier in the year that Stuff was again opening itself to advocacy ads. Since then Minto’s team have plagued your newspapers with propaganda which you have swallowed along with money from God-knows where.

I do not appreciate The Team’s arrogance and deliberate stuffing around to tell me at the last minute they will not publish a respectful advocacy ad for Israe set for 7 October.

I am taking this further.

Advocacy Groups Quick to Help Us

Influential advocates for Israel have come to our aid and have received thousands of views of our ad that Stuff would not publish. Between the Israel Institute of NZ, Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem, and Juliet Moses who often speaks for the Jewish Council, they have gained more views of the Ad online than The Post in Wellington may have reached though its printed version:

This is the X account of the Indigenous Embassy Jerusalem whose directors are Dr Sheree Trotter and the Hon Alfred Ngaro

Mark Hubbard Reaches out to Stuff

An influencer on X, Mark Hubbard with thousands of people following him, reached out to Stuff and here is the reply he got:
