Once again three churches came together on Sunday afternoon to stand for the justice of Israel’s cause in defending itself against jihadist terrorist groups like Hamas and for Israel’s right to defeat Hamas in a war started by the terror groups in Gaza. We also stood for innocent civilians on both sides of the conflict – Israeli and Palestinian. We proclaimed and we prayed for all those caught up in this Iran incited conflict. The Flaxmere Christian Fellowship was backed by Iwi Tapu Destiny Church and Revive Church, as well as other individuals who came along to support. My team counted 190 people present at our rally, figures more reliable than those put out by the Gaza Health Ministry. What a good sharp and focused rally we had. WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN!

Again, it was a very united front that the rally represented: strong speakers with a powerful message. The biggest disappointment was the silent majority of churches that should have attended. One astute observer quoted :” It is impossible for a Christian who does not love the Jewish people.” So, much more work has to be done to attract those who class themselves and Christians to support ‘God’s chosen’ : all denominations who profess to be Christian to show themselves by appearing at the rally. The reality we face with so many hypocrites in a very indifferent world. But full marks go to the 3 churches who showed up. Shalom blessings.
